Relationships: Tips & Strategies to Beat Bullying, Improve Self-Esteem, Developing Healthy Relationships- Presented by The Eddie Nash Foundation on Saturday, October 15th. We had an extraordinary turnout of 68 Foster Youth from Orange County and surrounding counties. Most of the youth came from group homes throughout the county as well as some who attended with their CASA’s or caregivers. Youth and their Trusted Adults learned about healthy relationships, warning signs of an unhealthy relationship and resources for bullying and teen dating violence. We also enjoyed amazing presentations from Laura’s House & Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.).  Our youth were so receptive and responsive to the information shared. Take a look at what some of them had to say on their evaluations:
“Fun Experience. Dope. Loved it.”
“The interactiveness of this whole workshop really made me involved, yet informed.”
“Very informative about relationships. I can now identify community resources that can help me or others.”

We are so proud of our youth, and impressed with their growth. Their willingness to consistently show up for their future is AMAZING! We look forward to doing it again next month.

Join us next month on November 5th for Self-Care: Taking Care of YOU, from the Inside-Out…it will be another full agenda!  We look forward to seeing you!
